Russian Legacy Harley Davidson Russian Pocket Watch

The Molnija Watch Factory is based in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Chelyabinsk is well-known as an industrial center of Southern Urals (Ural Mountains divide Russia roughly in half: from North to South). Molnija [moh-l-nee-yah] is the Russian word for "lightning". The Factory was founded on 17 November 1947 and first specialized in producing both wrist watches, pocket watches, table clocks, and specific type clocks for Soviet tanks and submarines. Starting from the late 50's the Factory has been producing mainly such 18 Jewels pocket watches as you see above. These watches have had two covers: bottom and top ones. Pressing to the head opens the top cover, displaying the dial. These pocket watches are world-famous for their classic design and reliable movement.
